Vocational Education, Post-Secondary Non-University in Scandinavia

Vocational colleges give courses in a variety of disciplines and duration. Here a student may train as a diver, film photographer, hairdresser or in one of many other vocations.

There continue to be great changes taking place in this field of education. Some secondary schools also have a department providing vocational training.

NOKUT is the body which accredits vocational colleges and many colleges are currently seeking accreditation. We have accordingly chosen to categorise those schools and colleges who are already accredited and those currently seeking accreditation within the same field.

You must therefore establish whether or not the school in which are interested is accredited or not, and what that means for you.
